Developing an Assurance Universe: Integrating Assurance Planning and Prioritisation:

Overview:

This session is specifically tailored for small internal audit practitioners and members seeking to optimise their audit practices and outcomes within limited resources. Participants will be guided through the concept of an assurance universe-a structured framework that aligns audit efforts with organisational priorities and risks.

The session will provide insights into best practices for integrating assurance planning with an emphasis on prioritisation, enabling practitioners to focus on the most critical areas that deliver maximum value. It will explore practical techniques for identifying key assurance needs, managing competing priorities, and streamlining processes to enhance effectiveness and efficiency.

Through this interactive and focused discussion, attendees will:

  • Gain a deeper understanding of how to build and adapt an assurance universe for small-scale or resource-limited environments.
  • Learn strategies for aligning assurance activities with organisational objectives to ensure relevance and impact.
  • Explore methods for engaging stakeholders, fostering collaboration, and securing buy-in for assurance initiatives.
  • Leave equipped with actionable tools and insights to enhance the strategic value of their internal audit functions.

This session is an invaluable opportunity for small internal audit practitioners to strengthen their assurance capabilities and drive impactful outcomes for their organisations. Don't miss out!
