Membership Subscription

Conditions

All members agree to comply with:

Communication Preferences

By joining IIA NZ you consent to receiving emails directly related to administration of your membership, CPE, IIA governance and policy research.

You may select to receive other communications according to your areas of interest. You may set or change your communication preferences at any time by going to Manage Membership.

Subscriptions

Your annual membership subscription fee is non-transferable. We reserve the right to refuse admission to membership; if we do so we will refund your annual subscription in full. The joining fee is non-refundable.

Subscription Charge Date: Subscriptions shall be set by the Board and will be chargeable to members on the 1st day of the IIA NZ calendar year, i.e., 1 January 2024.

Release Date for Subscription Invoices: The release date for the annual membership subscription invoices is set for 20 December 2023, preceding the commencement of the calendar year on 1 January 2024.

Due Date: The due date for payment is set to be the last day of the first month of the financial year, i.e., 31 January 2024. Refer to the constitution overview.

Grace Period: Members are provided a grace period until the last day of February to submit their payment.

Membership Expiry Process: If payment is not received by the last day of February, a list of members who have not paid will be presented at the next board meeting after this date. The IIA NZ Board will then have the authority to approve the expiration of their membership, leading to the revocation of both their IIA NZ and Global IIA memberships. IIA NZ reserves the right to impose a re-application fee in addition to the standard subscription.

Pro-rata Period: The pro-rata period will be effective from 1 June 2024. Anyone who joins before this date will be invoiced for the full-year membership fee.

Payment Method: Should you choose to pay by credit card, a third-party provider surcharge will apply, or alternatively, we can provide you with an invoice payable by bank transfer. 

Pricing

All prices on this website are exclusive of GST. 

When using the IIA NZ credit card facility through Windcave, a 3rd party payment provider, a 2.3% surcharge will apply to all transactions.

If you are paying from overseas, IIA NZ will charge an International Processing fee of $15.00. Please note that your bank may also apply additional charges on your end. This applies to all payments made when not using our credit card gateway.

IIA NZ Event Overview and Refund Policy

Face to face registration and attendance

  1. Please kindly note that all dietary requirements must be brought to our attention before the registration closing date. We regret to inform you that we will be unable to cater to any dietary requests on the day of the event.
  2. We strongly recommend registering early for all IIA NZ event to secure your spot. In the event that face-to-face attendance is sold out, we encourage you to consider registering for online attendance instead.
  3. If you are unable to attend, please submit a written notification to events@iianz.org.nz cancelling your registration before the registration closing date. Failure to do so will obligate you to fulfil the registration fee for this event. This relates to both face to face and online registrations.
  4. By registering for this event, you acknowledge and agree to the event overview and refund policy. If you choose to pay via invoice, please note that you are liable for making the payment before the event date.
  5. Transferring your registration to someone else: If you are unable to attend an event, you have the option to send a substitute in your place, provided the replacement meets the entry requirements of the event. Please notify us in advance so that we can update our delegate list accordingly before the registration closing date. If the replacement delegate is not eligible for the same attendance fee (e.g., when an IIA NZ member sends a non-IIA NZ member), the price difference must be settled before the event takes place.
  6. All IIA NZ events and courses are subject to meeting the minimum required participant numbers for the event to take place. If the minimum numbers are not achieved, and the event or training cannot proceed, you will be duly notified up to one week before the registrations close. In such cases, our liability is limited to providing a full refund of the event fee only. Please note that we will not be liable for compensating any other costs incurred by the delegate, such as travel or accommodation expenses. These costs will be the sole responsibility of the delegate.
  7. The IIA NZ accepts no liability if an event is cancelled or postponed for reasons beyond our reasonable control.

Online registration and attendance

  • Online attendees who have successfully registered will be granted access to the event.
  • The registration fee is the same for both in-person and online attendance. This is to account for the costs associated with audio-visual equipment and video conferencing resources. required to facilitate a seamless virtual experience.
  • Upon registration, you understand that this is a hybrid event that combines both in-person and virtual attendance options, allowing attendees to participate in the event from anywhere in the world. In this case, the IIA NZ may be recorded for promotional purposes, meaning that portions of the event could be used for promotional purposes later.

CPE Allocation

  1. CPE is awarded as such: 1 CPE = 1 hour
  2. A CPE certificate will be emailed to those who register and attend this event.
  3. Only registered individuals will be eligible to receive an IIA NZ CPE certificate.
  4. To qualify for an IIA NZ CPE certificate, virtual participants must watch the entire duration of the IIA NZ speaker engagement.

Refund Policy

  1. All prices are listed on the IIA NZ website as exclusive of GST.
  2. Full refund: You will receive a 100% refund before ticket sales close or until sold out, whichever comes first.
  3. No refund: After the event closing date or when tickets are sold out, we cannot provide a refund due to confirmed catering numbers and other related event matters.
  4. No credits are implied, transferred or offered due to non-attendance.
  5. In the rare event of a cancellation, we want to assure all registered participants that a full refund will be provided.
  6. Postponement due to COVID: If there are any constraints caused due to COVID, we will notify you of a postponement. In such a case, your funds will be held with IIA NZ until we can confirm a new date for the event.
  7. All requests concerning a refund must be communicated in writing to IIA NZ. If it relates to an event refund, please refer to the above IIA NZ Event overview and Refund Policy.
  8. The refund will be processed using the original payment method, back to the organisation or the individual who made the payment.
  9. If payment was made by credit card, the refund will be reversed to the same credit card used for the payment. However, if the credit card is expired or cancelled, an EFT refund can be arranged upon receipt of written confirmation from authorised personnel.
  10. In cases where the invoice was paid by the organisation, the refund can only be issued to the organisation and not to the individual for whom the payment was made.
  11. For international refunds, a bank fee of NZ$50 will be applicable.
  12. If you accidentally overpay, we will promptly initiate a refund. However, please be aware that it is your responsibility to notify IIA NZ about the overpayment within 3 months.
  13. No credits are implied, transferred or offered due to non-attendance.
  14. IIA NZ no longer offers the option of keeping any refund or credit on file.

The Event Overview and Refund Policy mentioned above applies to all IIA NZ events and training conducted within New Zealand. If you require information or a refund relating to an international event and/or training you have registered on, please get in touch with the respective international affiliate or organisation directly. IIA NZ bears no responsibility or liability for refunds related to registration fees for international events or training.
