A robust Information Security program is a necessity today. When assessing the completeness of the program the auditor must determine if the program adequately addresses both external and internal threat. Making sure there is proper attention given to insider threats is important because their costs continue to rise.
This course provides an overview of what insider threats are and the elements contained in an insider threat program. It helps internal auditors understand their role in support of the organisation's insider threat initiatives, and elaborates on planning and performing an audit engagement by addressing key risks that should be considered when planning an audit of the insider threat program.
