Professional Development

IIA NZ is committed to supporting members to continually improve their technical knowledge and skills, and learn more about the wider professional and national contexts for their work.

IIA NZ provides members with access to the International Professional Practices Framework (IPPF), Certified Internal Auditor certification (CIA), and a Code of Ethics. These are important elements that underline professionalism and commitment to quality.

IIA NZ has a wide range of learning opportunities to enhance members' careers and add value to their organisations. We will be offering:

  • core courses for the new internal auditor
  • intermediate level courses for the practicing internal auditor
  • specialist topics, such as risk management in action, IT auditing, identifying fraud, audit report writing, quality assurance review
  • effective strategic influencing for Heads of Internal Audit.

Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Activities

Ongoing Continuing Professional Education is critical to your professional development and technical knowledge.
CPE is mandatory for holders of IIA Certification. CPE hours are reported on an annual basis.

Login to keep a running tally of your CPE.

Annual Education Day

Education Day is an annual event held mid-year in Auckland, Wellington, and Christchurch.

Education Day is one full day divided up into sessions for hands-on, targeted learning. Internal audit practitioners are empowered in the maintenance of technical applications, awareness of best practice advisories and due diligence.

Employers and consultants alike acknowledge the value this professional development day brings to their organisation in achieving its annual team development goals.

Enquire using the contact form for more information on our next Education Day. You need to register early to secure your place at Education Day.
